Little Axe, Okla., resident Joe Marshal Young died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, in Shawnee at the age of 53.Joe was born May 23, 1955, in Shawnee to Joseph Stanley and Ora Bernice (Washburn) Young. Born in Shawnee, he resided in Moore. He had lived in Little Axe for the past 19 years. He started 1st grade in Moore, and graduated from Moore High School in 1974. He worked in the C.R. Anthony warehouse for many years, and also worked for Little Axe Public Schools. He loved the outdoors, fishing and his dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents, Lee and Ora Washburn, and Lorenzo Young Sr. andFlora Young Hartman. Survivors include his mother, Bernice Young of Tecumseh; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from the Washburn family, and many cousins from the Young family of Washington State.Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 with the Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. May yopu forever rest in his arms.
