L. W. McPhaul, later of Pueblo, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 27, 1983, at a local hospital. Survived by children, Laron McPhaul, Minneapolis, Minn., Devin McPhaul, Gunnison, John and Jonell of Pueblo; a brother, James E. McPhaul of Fort Collins; ex-wife Barbara McPhaul of Pueblo. Attended Lake Avenue Baptist Church and member of Silver State Lodge No 95 Af & Am; Southern Colorado Consistory; Al Kaly Shrine; Pueblo Council 6, RSM; South Pueblo Chapter 12, RAM; Commandary 3, KT; Fraternal Order Eagles, Aerie 145, and VFW Post 61. Born Feb. 20, 1928, in McGaffey, N.M., and a Pueblo resident for five years. Employed at CF&I as a clerk for 29 years. Service 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1983, Davis-Wallin Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Harold Tuttle officiating. Internment, Mountain View Cemetery. Graveside rites by Silver State Lodge 95, Af&Am. Family may be contacted at 4019 West Drive. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 193, Pueblo 81002. Public visitation Wednesday.
