Harold was born on Marion County on Feb. 24, 1933 to Hazel Irene (Smith) and John I. Hegwood.
He attended rural school and graduated from High School in Hartford, Ia.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he lived and worked may years in Des Moines, Ia for Taft Wholesale and Grocer's Warehouse as a truck driver.
The last 18 years he was employed by Foggarty's Transfer and Storage of Tampa, Fl.
He was proceeded in death by his parents.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife Anne;one son,John Irvin Hegwood of Peoria, Az four grandchildren;one sister, Betty Jean Ellis of Knoxville;one niece, Joni R. Ellis of Dallas, Tx and one nephew, Glenn L. Ellis, of Des Moines, IA and his step father, Lloyd Blumer and numerous other relatives.
