Marcus moved from Minden to now Oppenheim Town, Fulton Co, about 1796. He had nine children -- five surviving sons.
1) Jacob likely had no sons and lived south of the River.
2) Joseph lived in Oppenheim. His descendants lived nearby, with some living today at St. Johnsville and Ft. Plain.
3) Isaac farmed in Oppenheim as did his sons.
4) Jonas also farmed in Oppenheim. Descendants remained in the valley, some south of the River.
5) Simeon farmed in Oppenheim and had no grandsons.

The writer [Charles Duesler] located but three living male descendants of Marcus, those of Joseph above in the late 1980's

Marcus Duesler: Second son of Andreas and Anna. Likely born in now Minden T, Mont Co. Enlisted in 1778 at age 15. With several militia units until 20 Aug 1783. Last served at Ft Plank. Received a Revolutionary War pension in 1832. Married abt 1785. In 1790 Minden T census. He moved to s.e. Oppenheim T, Fulton Co. in 1796 (History of Montgomery & Fulton Cos) and was in the 1820/1830 Oppenheim census. A farmer. Died in Oppenheim, NY. Marcus at age 83, Elizabeth at age 81. According to DAR records, he is buried at an abandoned cemetery on E Flanders land, Youkers & Bush Rds in Oppenheim.
