He was the son of James A. and America (Bartley) Mullins.
He is survived by his father, Mr James A. Mullins,his wife, Mrs. Flo (Sanders) Mullins, four sons, Thurman, Ernest, and Harold, all of Pikeville, and Ermel Mullins of the U. S. Navy. Two daughters, Mrs. Tressie (Mullins) Bowling, of Danville, Va, and Mrs. Bernis Faye (Mullins) McCown of Hellier. He is also survived by three brothers, Allen Lonnie and Leon Mullins of Big Branch, and three sisters, Mrs Ollie Ratliff, Mrs. Margie Hall, and Mrs. Della McCown.
Funeral services held at 12 noon at the residence and burial follows in the Johnson Memorial Cemetery.
