Harold G Waters, 75, of Rossford, died after a long illness at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Saturday, November 15, 2008. Harold was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1933 to Clifford and Isabel (Gilete) Waters. Harold served in the Air Force Reserve. Harold taught Music and was the Band Director for 36 years at Gateway Middle School and Maumee High School retiring in 1993. Harold was an active member at Messiah Lutheran Church. He was the Director of Deutch Meister Band, Director Emeritus of the Teutonia Männerchor; his instrument of choice was the Saxophone which he would play in various bands in and around the Toledo area. Harold also belonged to the German American Festival Society, and was a Sigma phi Epsilon and an avid Buckeye Fan. Surviving Harold is his wife of 32 years, Nancy S. (Erdman); son, David (Melanie) Waters; daughters, Heather (Armando) and Gretchen; grandchildren, Tyler, David Aaron, Noel, Analicia, and Armando Russell; step-grand-children, Shamean, and Deleah; sisters, Mary Ellen Parker and Jean Warstler. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter and William and sister, Theone Orris. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 16, 2008, from 4-8, and Monday, November 17, 2008, David R. Jasin Funeral Home, Inc, 5300 N. Summit St., (419.726.1583). On Sunday, November 16th, at 7 p.m. the Männerchor will sing. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, Summit and 108th Streets, with Pastor David Rushton officiating. Interment will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
