Barnes -- Vergene M., 94, Plattsmouth, died Thursday (3/12/98). Services: 1:30 p.m. today, Metcalf Funeral Home, 245 N. 27th St., Eastern Star services by Lincoln Chapter 148. Visitation: today, 8 a.m. until services. Memorials to Masonic Eastern Star Home for Children, Fremont, NE or St. John Lutheran Church, Bennington, NE 68007.

[Note: According to family, Vergene was actually "Myrtle Vergene" but she always went by Vergene.]
