Louisa was the second daughter born to William and Elizabeth Lentz in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. She married Frederick Buss of the same city. Louisa was predeceased by two sisters, Anna and Mary. She had one other sister, Catherine who married Anthony Engle and moved to Philadelphia. Mary who had married W.C. Protz moved to Detroit, Mi. and was followed by her mother, Elizabeth and several brothers; George, Henry, Albert and Walter. Louisa was the only one to stay behind in Wilkes Barre where she worked in the Lace Mill.
