Texas Death Certificate No. 45280. White, male. He was the son of William Worth Darrow, Sr. and Elizabeth Coats both of AL. He was married and a retired farmer. Age: 80 Yrs, 3 Mo, & 24 Days. Cause of death was Arteriosclerosis. Informant was Roy Darrow of Ft. Worth, TX. Undertaker was Phillips Funeral Home of Ft. Worth. Burial was in Milford Cemetery on Oct 12, 1938.

He is named in the 1892 book, History of Ellis County as follows: On Pg. 222; April 1891: A committee of six gentlemen, J.K. McDaniel, W.W. Darrow, G.C. Rosson, W.F. Weekley, J.M. Webb and J.E. Davis, were asked to solicit subscriptions up to $5,000, [to build a Schoolhouse] and entered on their duties with such a good will that in less than three weeks they had subscribed within a few dollars of $4,000. The weekly meetings were kept up with unabated interest, and on May 9, 1891, articles of organization for building a fine schoolhouse were adopted and on the 15th of the same month, Professor T.N. Elliott, J.K. McDaniel, Dr. H.E. Rogers, J.E. Davis and W.W. Darrow were made a building committee to solicit plans, adopt one, let the contract & superintend the work of building. On May 29, 1891 let the contract of building the school to Mr. H. Galbraith. Doors opened September 14, 1891 under the name of Milford Academy.
