SMSgt Hayes retired at Wichita Falls, TX, in 1969 with 27 years, having served his country honorably in the US Air Force during WW II, Korean War, and Vietnam War.
He is survived by two daughters: Perralynne Perry and Paula Sanders of Oklahoma; two brothers: Robert and Charles Hayes of Orlando, Florida; three grandchildren: Dusten McKee, Jay Sanders and Brian Sanders. His parents, his wife, Iris Pearl, and a grandson, John Paul Sanders, precede him in death. Services will be held March 19, 2004, at 10:00 AM at Barnes and Johnson Funeral Home, MWC, OK; interment will be at Ft. Gibson at 2 PM.
