Billy Edwin Fisher, age 67, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born on January 12, 1941 in Somerset, KY, the son of Edna Opal Girdler Fisher and the late Herbert Cecil Fisher. He was the manager of Lake Cumberland Flea Market and worked for the Pulaski County School Department of Transportation. He was the previous owner and operator of Cumberland Mobile Home Sales for 13 years and was employed with the former Bank of Somerset, now known as Cumberland Security Bank for 20 years. Mr. Fisher was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Kentucky Colonel, and a 1960 graduate of Pulaski County High School.

Mr. Fisher enjoyed being outside, yard and landscaping, along with gardening. He also enjoyed golf, having cookouts and spending time with family. He loved people.

He is survived by his wife, Karen E. Creekmore Fisher, whom he married on March 11, 1973 in Jellico, TN; his mother, Edna Opal Girdler Fisher of Somerset; two sons, Billy Edwin (and Linda) Fisher of Somerset and Christopher Cecil Fisher of Somerset; two daughters, Debbie Ann (and Ray) Fisher Browning of Somerset and Tracy Suzette Fisher of Somerset; and six grandchildren, Allen and Marcus Browning, Tonya Nelson, Billy Edwin III and Jaci Fisher, and Darrin Brooks.

Preceding him in death was his father, Herbert Cecil Fisher.

Visitation for Mr. Fisher will be Tuesday, November 18th after 5:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 11:00 am at the Memory Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. C. E. Jacobs and Bro. Marty Shadoan officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
