Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 9, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Mack Davidson officiating.
Burial followed at Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie King Smith of Jena; four daughters, Zala Allien and Mavis Walker of Jena, Rita Murrell of Fordyse, Ark. And Verda Michals of Alexandria; four sons, Jewell D. Smith of Jena, Johnny Ray Smith of Jena, William Sonny Smith of Jena, and Paul R. Smith of Monroe; his brother John Smith of Jena and 29 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
