Mrs. Bertha Alice Losey. 67, wife of William Osborne Losey, 7 Belmont St., died at 9:30 Friday night, April 10, 1953, in Massena Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past 12 days.
Mrs. Losey was born m Avonmore, Ontario Aug. 8, 1885, a daughter of James and Louisa Werely Stephenson. She was married to Mr. Losey October 8, 1902, in Wales, with the Rev. Mr. Carson officiating. They came to Massena in 1910.
Surviving are the husband; two sons, James Losey, Massena, and DeForest Losey, enroute home from Germany; two daughters, Mrs. William (Helen) Serviss, Massena, and Mrs. Morris (Hilda) Asell, Norwood; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Orvil Stephenson, Avonmore, Ont., Willard Stephenson, Barrie, Ont, Gower Stephenson, Maple Grove, Ont, and Heman Stephenson, Massena. She was a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church. Funeral services were conducted at 2 this afternoon at St. John's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Charles Bowen Persell Jr., rector, officiating, with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. The body was taken to the family home Saturday afternoon.
