Mary Isabel Ellis, 82, of Glen Daniel passed away January 4, 2018 at her home. Born April 5, 1935 in Jesse, she was the daughter of the late Rife Clinton Cook (1901-1976) & Vida "Myrtle" Browning-Cook (1908-1986).
She loved camping and spending time with her son and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Carl Ellis (1935-1991) whom she married on March 31, 1956 in Oceana, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1956, Page 173, Application Date: March 24, 1956); sister, Twila Jane Cook-Fleming (1927-2007); brothers, William "Randall" Cook (1929-2000), Ralph Clinton Cook (1931-2000), and Harold David Cook (Deceased).
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Kennith Ellis and wife Elizabeth Ellis of Glen Daniel; grandsons, K.C. Ellis and wife Tiffany Ellis of Glen Daniel, who she lived with, Adam Ellis and wife Nikki Ellis of Daniels, Nicholas Ellis and fiancé Jessica of Glen Daniel; five great-grandsons, Andrew Ellis, Logan Ellis, Jacob Ellis, Eli Ellis and Nathan Ellis; great granddaughter, Sophia Ellis; two sisters, Jean Cook-Ruszkowski of Beckley and Delores Cook-Ellis-Chester (B. 1944) of Sabine.
Services will be 11:00 am Monday, January 8, 2018 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Sears officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens in Matheny.
