Shawnee resident Officer Kevin Grant Murray,32, passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008 in Shawnee.
He was born June 11, 1976 in Shawnee to Ron and Dell Murray.
He graduated Bethel High School in 1995.
Kevin fulfilled his dream to become a police officer in November 2008. He was a member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Police. He also worked at Advanced Auto Parts. He loved car stereos, police work, Oreo his dog, collecting watches and sunglasses. He loved his aunt Gail's Pumpkin Pie at Thanksgiving time. He especially enjoyed his nephews Fabian and Davian Avitia
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Barbara Murray and great-grandparents Herman and Hazel Allen.
His is survived by his parents Ron and Dell Murray; sister Alandra Avitia, and two nephews Fabian and Davian Avitia; aunt and uncle Gail and Dennis Nelms, aunt and uncle Jim and Debbie Birdsong; cousins, Derrick and Dustin Nelms and Amanda and Jeremy Ledford, Erick and David King and many other loving relatives and friends.
The family will greet friends Sunday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Walker Funeral Service.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2008, at New Life World Outreach Center with Pastor Keith Ward officiating.
