Mrs. Ida May Peoples, 84, a native of Leake county, died Thursday in Jackson. She had made her home in Walnut Grove.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Friday from the New Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. J. Reeves, assisted by elders R. B. Johnson and B. R. Ware, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She leaves four sons, Alton Peoples, Terry; J. C. Peoples, Madden; Clyde Peoples, Walnut Grove; Clayton Peoples, Jackson; three step-daughters, Mrs. Ida Adams Dennis, Walnut Grove; Mrs. Zelma Jordan, Brookhaven; Mrs. Mary Risher, Madden; one stepson, Isom C. Peoples, Madden; two brothers. Earl Mayo, Jackson; Luther Mayo, Meridian; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Barfield, Walnut Grove; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grand children and a number of step-grandchildren.
The Wilcox Funeral Home of Carthage will be in charge of arrangements.
