Bessie Mae "Mamaw" Donnahoo, 91, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at home.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Bessie was born April 6, 1917, in Springtown, Miss., to Bertha Anna and John Sebron Richey. She was a resident of Fort Worth since 1950. She was a homemaker. Mamaw was a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church. She loved cooking, gardening and watching religious shows on television. She not only was a grandmother to Samantha, but a mother as well.

"Praise ye the Lord, praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord. Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God. Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good; sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant." - Psalm 135:1-3

Bessie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Clyde R. Donnahoo, in 1992.

Survivors: Daughter, Phyllis Reily; granddaughters, Sabrina Pekas, Samantha Pekas and grandson-in-law, Johnny Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Alize Pekas, Chardonney Feaster and Tabitha Rodriguez; sister, Virgie Potter; brother, Willis Richey; numerous nieces and nephews.
