Athens, Ala., Feb. 11 - Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning for Mrs. Lillian Glendora Mason, prominent and beloved local woman, whose death at 70 years of age followed an extended illness of several weeks. The service took place at the residence, with Dr. V. M. Gardner, pastor of the First Baptist Church, in charge. Burial by McConnell followed in the City Cemetery.
A huge throng attended the last rites, giving silent evidence of the high esteem in which Mr. Mason was held.
Several sons and daughters survive.
