Arthur W. Barrett, 79, of 4133 Tanner Road, South Onondaga, died Monday at Community-General Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Marion, Mr. Barrett lived in South Onondaga since 1957. He retired in 1976 as a truck driver. His wife, Jessie, died in 1987. Surviving are a daughter, Isabelle Wisnowski of Liverpool; four sisters, Laura Randolph, Myra Randolph and Eunice Rooker, all of Port Byron, and Margaret Buholtz of Fairport; two brothers, Frederick of Baldwinsville and Marion of Chittenango; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ryan Funeral Home, Marcellus, the Rev. Leslie B. Strader officiating. Burial will be in South Onondaga Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 44 E. Main St. Contributions may be made to South Onondaga Volunteer Fire Department.
