GROVETOWN, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, June 4, 2006 at the residence, Mr. Edward Lawrence Singletary, Sr., age 75, husband of Mrs. Inez Chinn Singletary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Military Chaplain officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery. Mr. Singletary was born in Whigham, Ga. He retired from the U.S. Army with honor after serving twenty years of service as Sgt. 1st Class. He was Catholic and attended Chapel 9 at Fort Gordon. He was a Mason and member of the Grovetown Lions Club. His family remembers him as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Edward was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Doris Gwaltney and a son, Randy Singletary. He is survived by his wife, Inez W. Singletary, Grovetown; three sons, Edward Singletary, Jr., Grovetown, Ronald Singletary, Charlotteville, Va. and Phillip Singletary, Evans, Ga.; a daughter, JoAnn Guin, Harlem, Ga.; father, Charles Singletary, Sr.; three brothers, Charles Singletary, Jr. and Lavaughn Singletary of Grovetown and David Singletary, Whigham, Ga.; a sister, Barbara Johnson, Whigham, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Aric Singletary, Jason Singletary, Sean Singletary, Benjamin Guin, Clay Singletary and Randy Lewis.
