Mrs. Spears passed away Friday, August 10, 2001 in Mansfield, LA after a lengthy illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Logansport, LA. Mrs Spears was a school teacher with DeSoto Parish Schools and a member of the First Baptist Church of Logansport, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Spears, brother, Marvin Register, sister, Avis Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, William Dan Spears and wife Sara of Logansport, LA, Jerry C. Spears and wife Cindy of Keithville, LA sisters, Johnnie Maude Tyler and Eunye Bergthold, both of New Braunsfels, TX, Frances Newland of Waco, TX, Margaret Ferguson of Shreveport, LA one brother, Waymon Register of Dallas, TX four grandchildren two great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Gary Henderson, Wayne Adams, Bernard Waggoner, Jay Rodgers, Mike Deutch and Parker Garrett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church of Logansport, LA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Logansport, LA.
