Delivan Lillard Burkhart was the only son of Elmer Francis and Elsie Elizabeth (Lillard) Burkhart of Albany, Oregon, born April 28th, 1917. He attended school in Albany and was known by the nickname "Del". He met and later married Miss Daisy Mae Ashton, of West Linn, Oregon. She was the eldest of three daughters of J.Paul & Otis Ashton. The happy couple had a son, Dennis Duane Burkhart, b Oct.14, 1947. They remained together all of their lives until death took Del on May 15th, 1998. He was interred at Willamette Memorial Park in Albany, Oregon. Daisy passed on Mar 27, 2000 and was buried next to her husband at Willamette Memorial Park in Albany, Oregon.
