Arnold J. Bush, 87, of Albany died Thursday at Regency of Albany.

He was born April 3, 1919, in Moville, Iowa, the son of Lloyd and Emma (Wink) Bush. He married Beulah Fosnot in Sioux City, Iowa.

They moved to Oregon, and in April 1943 Arnold enlisted in the U. S. Army. He served in Northern France with the 558th Field Artillery. After his honorable discharge in 1945, they resided in Portland before moving to Albany.

Arnold was a carpenter, working mainly in residential housing. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling.

Beulah died in 1983, and on April 21, 2000, Arnold married Mildred.

Arnold is survived by his daughter Arnell Whetstone of Albany; two grandchildren Casie and Jessica; two great-grandchildren Cyrus, and Tristan.

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home (aasum-dufour.com).
