Dennis Olin Bagley, 72, of Dalton, passed away Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lois Bagley; and a sister, Mary Hufstetler.
He was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church, a charter member of the Northwest Quarterback Club, and an honorary member of the Pleasant Grove Masonic Lodge No. 702 and the Grand Lodge of Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Fowler Bagley of the residence; daughter, Debora Bagley Parker of Rocky Face; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Tammy Bagley of Chatsworth, and Joey and Lisa Bagley of Cohutta; sisters, Virginia Stinson of Dalton, and Gertrue (Wayne) Lokey of Dalton; grandchildren, Joshua and Kendra Parker, Jacob and Stephanie Parker, Jennifer and Josh Johnson, Caleb Bagley, Matthew Bagley, Josh Tyler Bagley, and Haley Bagley; great-grandchildren, Isaac Parker;
Aunts and uncles, Hubert and Marie Bagley, Pete and Lillie Maude Cummings, Wincie Moss, Willene Buck, Jane Bagley, and Ed Hufstetler; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Olin was highly thought of, and loved by friends and co-workers.The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bagley and Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating. His grandsons and grandson-in-law will serve as pallbearers.Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.The family received friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening.
