John George Colson
OREGON - John George Colson, 65, 1102 S. Fourth St., died Thursday in Warmolts Clinic after a short illness.
Mr. Colson was born March 10, 1900, here, the son of George and Ellen Hoar Colson.
He was married to Vena Barnhart Dec. 22, 1926.
Mr. Colson, a lifelong resident of here, was a self-employed carpenter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Verletta) Davis, of here; two sisters, Mrs. L. W. (Mamie) Greenwood, Chicago; and Mrs. Marshall (Clara) Field, Glenview; a brother, Robert, of here, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Farrell Funeral Home, the Rev. B. G. Sills, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Daysville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evneing.
