Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his girlfriend, Jennifer Suit of Greenville; a son, John Cole Shuler, Jr. of Greenville; a sister and brother-in-law, Misty S. and Randall Brown of Greenville; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Carolyn Hensley of Gilbert, SC; paternal grandparents, John A. and Phyllis Shuler of Columbia; aunt and uncle, Frances S. and Robert McClary of Irmo; and uncle and aunt, James Coleman and Melisa Hensley of Hawaii.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 28, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery, Bowman, SC, Friday at 3:00 p.m.
