Grieser, --- Rachel, daughter of Menno L. and Mattie (Kennel) Erb, was born June 6, 1893 at O'Neill, Nebr., passed away at the Logan Valley Hospital, Pender, Nebr., Oct. 25, 1949; aged 56 y. 4 m. 19 d. Death was caused by a heart disease; she spent a large part of the last year in the hospital. On Oct. 10, 1911, she was united in marriage to Jacob Grieser, of Beemer, Nebr., who survives. Also surviving are 7 children (Mrs. Mattie Miller, Pender, Nebr.; Joseph, Broken Bow, Nebr.; Mrs. Lois Kauffman, Mrs. Rose Wittrig, and Dale of Beemer; Mrs. Bessie Hargis, Denver, Colo.; and Allan, Milford, Nebr.), 5 brothers (Chris, John, and David, Frazee, Minn.; Mose, Geneva, Nebr.; and Menno, Wakefield, Nebr.) and 13 grandchildren. Her parents, one sister (Katie Bellar) and one daughter (Clarice Anne) preceded her in death. In youth she accepted Christ and united with the Mennonite Church, of which she was a faithful attendant as long as health permitted. Funeral services were held Oct. 27 at the home by P. O. Oswald and at the Plum Creek Mennonite Church by J. W. Birky and Sam Oswald. Interment was made in the Beemer Cemetery.
