D. C. Chambers Killed When Train Hit Auto
Bluefield Telegraph (W. Va.) Sept. 22, 1923

D. C. Chambers, traveling salesman of Alexandria, Va., was instantly killed at Rippon, near here, when his automobile was struck by a Norfolk and Western passenger train at a grade crossing. Identification was by means of papers found on his person.

Funeral services for David Clopton Chambers, prominent resident of Del Ray, Virginia, who was killed in an automobile accident last Thursday near Charles Town, W. Va., were held Sunday afternoon at the home of his father, Judge William L. Chambers, at Barnesville, Montgomery County. Burial was in Monocacy Cemetery at Beallsville.
