Services for Annie Mae Butler, 87, of Columbia will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 17, 2002 from chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Don Boyette officiating. Interment will follow in the Lowe Cemetery, east of Kelly.

Mrs. Butler was born on March 8, 1915 in Winn parish to the union of Joseph Chatfield and Ida Cox Strickland and died Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at the Franklin Parish Medical Center in Winnsboro.

She was a homemaker and a retired receptionist of Dr.'s Blake Adams and Leroy Adams dentist's office. She also worked with Dr. Wren Causey at the Columbia Heights Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivey Lee Butler, Sr.

Survivors include her son, I. L. Butler, Jr. of Plantersville, TX; her daughter, Joan B. Ainsworth of Kelly; six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Ainsworth, Randy Butler, Robert Butler, Scott Chambers, Gary Watts, and Don Berry.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
