Ado Arlie Ramsey, son of James and Martha Ramsey, was born Jan. 4, 1884 in Pope County, Ill. and departed this life July 22, 1951. He was 67 years, six months, and 18 days of age.

He was united in marriage to Effie Butze, 1905. To this union were born six children: Erple Ramsey, East St. Louis; Mary Freeland, Chicago; Geneva Arnold, Chicago; Jody, El Segundo, Calif; and Charles of Redondo Beach, Calif; a sister, Maggie Horney of Rosiclare; a son, Ernest, four brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children, five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at Buchanan Funeral chapel, with Rev. J. L. Ford, Baptist minister in charge. Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery.
