Ethel Sanders Madison met and married Joseph Henry Madison. Elthel was the daugther of James S and Ida Sanders. She was raised in area just north of this cemetery on a farm. Her father use to come to visit her and Henry when they lived in Houston. They had rented a duplex apartment from my dad and mother and we lived next door to them. Mr. Sanders would drive from the Union-Shiloh area in an Model TT truck and he would park it in our back yard under our pecan tree. Mr. Sanders let my sister and I play in the truck. We had great fun playing like we were driving it.
