Freeman T. Brouillette, 84, of Sioux City died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at an Omaha hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Timothy Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 6:30 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Freeman T. Brouillette was born Sept. 5, 1919, in Sioux City, the son of Ezra J. and Cora (Pacquin) Brouillette. He graduated from Central High School. He was a paratrooper and first lieutenant with the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Arlene M. Speck on Feb. 18, 1946, in Sioux City. Mr. Brouillette was general manager of Wilson Motors from 1959 until he retired in 1985.

He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Downtown Rotary Club and Green Valley Golf Course. He was a former member of the Sioux City Boat Club. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene; a son and his wife, Tom and Helen Brouillette; a daughter, Mary Beth Brouillette, all of Sioux City; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, Patrick, Cory and Christopher; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leonard and Wayne; and four sisters, Gladys, Lucille, Vivian and Maxine.

Pallbearers will be Scott Brouillette, Patrick Brouillette, Cory Hanson, Tim Speck, Terry Speck and Phillip Lamoureux. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Prince, Bill Chauncey, Ben Miller and his golfing friends.
