THAINE OLDHAM

ROY – Thaine Oldham, 83 passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at the Ogden Regional Hospital. He was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease.

He was born May 27, 1920 in Paradise, Utah, the son of Edward P. and Annie Obray Oldham. He graduated Cache Valley High School and went on to Utah State College for a year.

He married Mary E. Gross June 5, 1946 at Paradise, Utah; they were married for 57 years.

Thaine served his country during WW II as a Marine, mainly in the South Pacific.

He had worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and Hill Air Force Base with the F-16 Project.

He loved fishing, hunting, horseback riding, golfing and softball, he was quite an athlete. He was a life member of the Golden Spike Elks Lodge #719. He was very active in the Boy Scouts and Little League.

Surviving are his wife of Roy, one son, Paul Oldham of Ogden, one daughter, Julie and Scott Vestal of Rocklin, CA; and granddaughter Ashley Vestal. Also three brothers, John Oldham of Salt Lake City; Lynn and Nancy Oldham, Orem; Mark and Garna Oldham of
Salt Lake City; and a sister, Helen and Paul Olsen of Hurricane; four God sons; Winston Sales, Randy Sales, Craig Sales and Kent Sales.

Thaine was preceded in death by one sister Edna and one brother Max.

The family wishes to thank their neighbors for their kind assistance during his illness; and to extend heartfelt gratitude to Lois Baldwin
