Oliver Perry Roberts Anderson, the son of Asa James and Nancy Jane Roberts, was born 24 November 1864 in Monroe County, Tennessee and died 24 February 1931 in Monroe County, Tennessee. He was one of seven children:
1. William Olney (1847-1860).
2. Rhabek Jane (1851-1860).
3. Mary Ann (1853-1927).
4. Susan (1857-1936).
5. James Roy (1888-1959).
6. Asa Vance (1889-).

He married on 22 March 1888 in Monroe County, Tennessee to Dollie Ann Burris and they were the parents to the following children:
1. Asa Guy (1889-1961).
2. Nineva (1892-1936).
3. Paul William (1893-1969).
4. Earl Charles, Sr. (1895-1967).
5. Trixie Mary Ella (1896-1984).
6. Pauline (1898-1901).
7. Doris Mae (1900-1901).
8. Ralph McCollum (1902-1959).

In the 1880 US Census, he was 15 years old and living in the district 16 of Monroe County, Tennessee working on his father's farm. In the 1900 US Census, he married in 1888 (so he has been married for 12 years by then),and still living in the district 16 of Monroe County, Tennessee. In 1910 US Census, he moved to the Civil district 14 of Monroe County, Tennessee and working as a merchant in General Merchandise, was his own employer and renting on a farm. He been married for 21 years to the same wife. In 1920 US Census, he moved to Civil district 4 of Monroe County, Tennessee to Breetown Road and a farmer. In the 1930 US Census he moved again to district 3 of Monroe County, Tennessee to Hiwassee College Road and owned his own home on a farm working on the land on his own account. He was able to speak English, read and write.
