Galveston,' Nov. 22.- (Tribune
Area' Special)-John William Cree, 78, d}ed at his home here at 2 o'clock Tuesday morning after- an illness of almost one year of complications. He had been a resident of Galveston for 23 -years and followed the trade of carpenter. He was born April 29, 1871 near Deer Creek, the son of James and Christina Delsch Cree. He was married December 1, 1897 to Ethel May Hayden who died in 1944. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Roxie Turner and a son, James; both of Galveston; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ed and Aaron Cree, both near Deacon and a sister, Mrs. Emma Gray, west of... Galveston. A son Cheater died in 1933. Mr. Cree was a charter member of. the Knights of Pythias lodge at Young America. The body is at the John Thomas funeral home where friends may call after 6 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services will be held there at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon with the Rev. Harry M. Jones of the Methodist church officiating.' Burial will be in the .Galveston cemetery.

The second annual reunion of the Cree family was held the 29th at which relatives and friends to the number of 127 enjoyed the noon day meal together, after which a roll call of the relatives was had. The business session was then held and the election of officers for the next year resulted as follows: President, James Cree, of Walton; secretary, Ira Cree, of Logansport and treasurer, Harry Shanks, of Burrows. It was decided to meet the same place next year on the last Sunday in August. There were present ten relatives who were over sixty-five years of age and of the ten, five brothers and two sisters were of one family. The oldest person present was James Cree, of Walton, and the youngest present was James Walker Cree, the little son of John and Ethel Cree, of near Galveston. Walker Cree, of Woodland, Michigan, was the only relative from any great distance to attend this year.
