Grace was born March 20, 1914 to Neb and Alice (Fronfelter) Waldron in Dunseith, North Dakota. They Traveled west settling in the Yakima Valley in the early 1930's. She married George Bright on November 16, 1935 in Yakima. They made their home west of Wapato at the same place for over 50 years. Mom and Dad celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1985. Mom was a great cook and took pleasure in feeding her family. She prepared Sunday dinners until 1996. No one was a stranger in their home. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989.
Survivers include her sons Art (Mavis) Bright of Port Angeles, Washington; Mel (Martha) Bright of Zillah, Washington; Marvin Bright of Yakima, daughters Jan Monoian and Linda (Ron) Babbitt both of Yakima; 10 grandchildren, Diane, Joy, Ron Jr., Rhonda, Lynn, Curtis, Kevin, Jason, Katie, and Jon, 11 great grandchildren, Patrick, Avery, Emilea, Jacob, Aarik, Derek, Steven, Kyle, Kory, Brent, Ryan, sisters Dody Murray of Lake City, Arleen Keene of Port Angeles, brother John Waldron of Fort Hadlock, numerious nieces and nephews. Mom we love you and will miss you.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2002 in Merritt Funeral Chapel. Concluding services and burial will be in the Reservation Community Memorial Park west of Wapato.
Grace was known for her love of everyone. She lived out the remainder of her life with her daughter Linda and son in law Ron. She loved all the kids when a new baby came in she lit up with joy. She was an amazing woman with so much to offer. We all loved her and miss her greatly. Her memory lives on in all of us she touched.
Grace is buried next to her husband George next to a tree and below the babies.
