TACOMA - Mary Tiegs King, 83, of Tacoma, formerly of Harrah, died Sunday, July 26 at Hatwood Extended Care Facility in Tacoma.
Mary was born October 7, 1908 in Wilbur, Washington to Samuel and Myrtle (Bugg) Bright. She married Ferdinand Tiegs in Wenatchee in 1925. She loved to garden and was proud of learning to drive a car at the age of 56.
She is survived by a son Roy Tiegs of Puyallup, Washington; step-daughter, Sharon Quirk of Wilbur; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Tom Bright of Soap Lake; and Charles Bright of Milton-Freewater Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ferdinand in 1959 and by two sons Virgil in 1946 and Reuben in 1951.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday July 29 at 1:00 P.M. at Reservation Community Park west of Wapato. Those wishing to attend may meet at the cemetery.
