1994 Mildred Downs Steele rests in the Memory Garden at St. Thomas By the Sea Episcopal Church, Laguna Beach, FL. The ashes of her husband Rev. Warren H. Steele were spred in this garden.

The Steeles' cottage at Seagrove Beach, Florida, to which they joyfully retired in 1965. Aunt Mildred’s home has been remodeled beautifully - same footprint but it’s now two-stories, with a nice swimming pool where the patio was. It’s yellow and white, very tasteful. I’m sure Aunt Mildred would be amazed and hopefully pleased.
