The first lady of Wisconsin. Frances Forman was born in New York, where she married Coles Bashford, future governor of Wisconsin. She accompanied him to the Arizona Territory, later returning to Oakland, California. In her later years she lived with her daughters, dying in the home of her daughter Lillian Kirkland in 1911.
