RICHFIELD, UTAH -- Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, Darrell Brinkerhoff Adams, age 74, died in the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 6, 2001 in Richfield, Utah of complications from pneumonia.

He was born April 12,

1926 in Bicknell, Utah, a son of J. Myrtus "Jim" and Ora Brinkerhoff Adams. He graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1944 and then attended the Central Utah Vocational School in Provo, Utah, where he studied heavy duty diesel mechanics. He entered the United States Navy in November of 1944 and served his country during World War II, until his discharge in 1946. Darrell married Una Pierce April 16, 1944 in Fremont, Utah. They were married for almost 57 wonderful years. Darrell enjoyed wood working, fishing, hunting, working around the house, making rugs, baking, reading and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of Richfield; children: Dick Andrew and Terri Adams; William "Glen" and Linda Adams; four grandchildren: James Duane and Stacy Adams; Jesse David Adams; Juliana Carolyn Adams; Elizabeth Katherine Adams; great-grandson: Tristan James Adams all of Las Vegas, Nevada.; 10 brothers and sisters-in-law; 19 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Darrell "Benny" Adams; father: J. Myrtus "Jim" Adams; mother: Ora Brinkerhoff Adams Thorsen; step-father: Glen Thorsen; two brothers: Dean L. Adams and Jay M. Adams; his father and mother-in-law: Miel E. and Minnie A. Pierce.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2001 at 12 noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 N. 400 W., in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening 6 - 8 p.m. and again Saturday morning from 10:30 - 11:30 am prior to the services.

Burial with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #96 will be Saturday. afternoon at 3 p.m. in the Loa Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah in Darrell's memory.
