Henry F. Myers or Heinrich Meyer, as on his baptismal record, was born 4 Jun 1804, Manheim Twp., Berks Co., PA. He was the son of Peter Meyer (Moyer) & Catharine Leimeister.

In 1823, Henry accompanied his parents and other members of his family when they moved from Berks/Schuylkill Co. in PA to Fairfield Co., OH.

Henry married Saloma Klar on 4 Mar 1828 in Pickaway Co., OH.

Henry & Saloma had 17 children, 15 of whom reached maturity:
