Mildred Bartlett Powell passed away Friday, November 28, 2008. Mildred Bartlett was born in LaGrange, GA, moved to Pensacola in 1950 when she married Joe Powell, Sr. She was a former beautician, worked in the Brownsville Tackle Shop which they owned. She was an artist, painting in several media. She won several local and national awards for her paintings. She was a member of the Brownsville Baptist Church for years and then the Ensley First Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Daniel Pate; grandson; great-grandchildren. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2008 at Bayview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
