Her nicknames were "Reese" and "Reesie". She was born near Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Elizabeth (Francis) (Hale) and Sanford Richey. Teresa married Thomas Jefferson Campbell, son of Barthena (Scott) and William Seymour Campbell Jr. He is buried at New Zion Cemetery between Davenport and Chandler, OK. Three of her children are buried beside her: James Walter Campbell, John Everett Campbell and Roger Mills "Que" Campbell. Her death certificate information differs from her headstone birth and death dates. Most likely the birth date shown on her death certificate is correct.

Reese and her husband moved from Tennessee to Dallas county, Missouri, after the Civil War ended. They settled near Buffalo and raised their family on a farm. In 1907 they sold their farm and moved to the Chandler, Oklahoma area. Some of their children moved also. The two children who remained in Missouri were son Charley and daughter Tennessee Jane (Jennie) Skinner; both of them were already married. Teresa's husband, Jeff Campbell, died in 1910 near Chandler. She and some of her children relocated to the Yale, Jennings and Oilton area. She lived with her son Jim for some time before her death.

Teresa was of the Baptist denomination. She often shared stories with her family of her growing-up years in Chattanooga and she was loved by all her family. An interesting note about "Reese" and her sister "Lem" is that they both smoked tobacco with a clay pipe. Lem married William Gooding Campbell, a cousin to Thomas Jefferson Campbell.

These were Jeff and Teresa's children: Tennessee J, William S, Charles D, Wood F, Lillie F, James W, John Everett and Roger M."Que" All her children are linked to her.
