McKenrick, of Kittanning, Pa.; John L., of Akron, Ohio, and Frank J. of Johnstown, Pa., all of whom, with his wife, Ada Spence Gates, survive him. His brothers and sisters are Mrs. E. M. Strayer and Mrs. J. S. McKee, of Flinton, Cambria county; Isaac W., and Perry C., of Coalport; Lafayette, of Kansas; and John C., of Harrisburg, Pa. Mr. Gates was of a kindly disposition and was loved by all who knew him. He left a great number of friends and acquaintances throughout Cambria and Clearfield counties who will sorrow in the news of his death.
