She is the daughter of Lyle Ancil Baxter 1894 – 1943 and Cora May Matlock 1893 – 1974

Better known as "The rebel" according to her sister and herself. She bore a child out of wedlock in 1937, but chose the family herself who would love and raise it instead of turning the baby over to an agency of some sort. Came back to Eureka and took a short course in business college.

She first married and divorced Gordon Mackenzie. Her next marriage to Claude Leon Ball resulted in them living all over the world for the next 23 years as he was a pilot in the armed forces and flew a bomber during WWII. He joined the service in 1942 and has lived in various places in the states, Europe, and Newfoundland. They retired from the service and built a house in Sequim, Washington. There were no more children.

Claude is the son of Claude Nelson Ball 1891 – 1972 and Ida Belle Kingsley 1893 – 1968

Military Information: CAPT, US ARMY
