Elijah L. Alcorn is the son of James W. Alcorn and Rebecca J. Guffey.

He married first to Lillie High (1884-1919) on April 2, 1899, at the bride's home in Cleveland County, Oklahoma.

They had these children: Ida (1902-1981) married unknown Malcolm; Roy (1903-1955); Mabel born 1905 married F. L. Ferris; Lillie Mae (1907-1990) married 1st Walter A. Couch, 2nd Nathan Danzig; Ora (1909-1992).

After the death of his first wife, Elijah married Ara Belle Mackey on November 1, 1919, in Pauls Valley, Garvin County, Oklahoma. They had two daughters: Thelma (1922-1922) and Bivian (1923-2005) married 1st Vincil Geno, 2nd Wesley Sharp.

E. L. Alcorn, 65 years old, had lived on the same farm there since 1915 and previously had lived in this community. He had been ill for some time. The body was taken to the Winans Funeral home where arrangements were awaiting receipt of word from relatives. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. B. Gilbreath of Pauls Valley, Mrs. Mabel Ferris of Wichita, Kans., Mrs. May Couch of Yuma, Ariz., and Mrs. Bivian Geno of Pauls Valley; two sons, Roy of Yuma, Ariz., and Ora, of Pauls Valley, and six brothers, and two sisters.

(2) Funeral Notice:
ELIJAH ALCORN Born August 7, 1876; Died January 3, 1941; Age 64 years, 4 months, 26 days; Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 5, at the Winans Funeral Home chapel, Judge W. G. Long officiating. Interment Civet Cemetery.

(3) Alcorn Funeral Is Held Here Sunday
Last Rites were held Sunday afternoon at the Winans Funeral home chapel here for Elijah Alcorn, 64-year-old resident of northeast of the city. Judge W. G. Long officated, and burial was in the Civet cemetery. Out-of-town relatives and friends here for the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Al Doyle and family, Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Mackey, Ethel Scottdale, Rafe Mackey and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Sanderson, Oklahoma City; H. R. Alcorn and Miss Viola Williams, Alex, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Ferris and son, Wichita, Kans.; Mr. and Mrs. Pete Ezell, Paoli; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Force, Maysville, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bragg, Byars.
