Brookshier Services conducted Monday
Services for Graves G. Brookshier, 82, were conducted in the Elmore City Methodist church Monday with Rev. Whitehouse, Hennepin Methodist pastor officiating. Brookshier had been in ill health for the past three years and had undergone surgery two weeks ago in a Wynnewood hospital. He was born in McNary county, Tennessee, and became a member of the Methodist church in his early youth. He was a grocer man in Elmore City for many years. Survivors are the wife, Mrs. Stella Brookshier, of the home address; three daughters, Ethel Merriman, San Antonia, Texas; Opal McKey, Elmore City; and Ora Graves, Houston, Texas; three sons, Willie Brookshier, of Sentinel; Vernin B., Saint Elmo, Ill.; and Ovid B. of Healdton; six stepdaughters, Mrs. Clayton Wolfe, Sulphur; Mrs. Jack O'Daniel, of Maud; Mrs. A.L. Burroughs of McAlester, Mrs. Clifford Drennan, Hennepin; Mrs. Frank Moore of Wynnewood and Mrs. Clarence Perry, also of Wynnewood, 39 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Interment was in the Elmore City cemetery with arrangements by Yeary-Vaughn Funeral Home.
