Robert J. Elliott Dies at Residence
Funeral services were being arranged today for Robert J. Elliott, 73, of 1044 Hill Avenue who died at 11:35 p.m. Sunday at his home after a lengthy illness. He had been a residence of the Western Slope for 19 years, living at Rifle and DeBeque before coming to Grand Junction.
Mr. Elliott was born June 17, 1880, at Greensboro, Ind., where he spent his childhood. He was the son of Jesse Elliott and Julia Alice Allee, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married March 15, 1900, at Spiceland Ind., to Myrtle Martha Elliott who survives. Mr. Elliott was a carpenter by trade.
Other survivors are three daughters, Mrs. J. E. Novak of Algona, Wash.; Mrs. H. W. Bass of Washington D. C.; and Mrs. E. V. Yardley of National City, Calif.; three sons, Frank G. Elliott of Palm City, Calif.; E. H. Elliott of Grand Junction; and R. R. Elliott of Cassville, Mo., a brother Raymond S. Elliott of Cambridge City, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Elliott was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Grand Junction. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Martin Mortuary.
