Obituary-
Emmit E. Black, age 78, died Feb. 27 at 10:34 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.B. Ellzey ? O.B. Ellzey, with whom he was making his home. He was formerly a timber dealer and a native of Green county. He was a devout member of the baptist church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 in the West Laurel Baptist church with the Revs. H.J. Rushing and W.L. McKay officiating. Interment will be in Pipkins Cemetery in George County.
Pallbearers are to be Hute, Claude and Mallie Black, (nephews) Ralph Harper, James Waldrup, and Lloyd O, Moody.

He is survived by four daughters, C. ? O. B. Ellzey, of Laurel, Mrs. J.W. Gibson of Moss Point, Mrs. D.O. Goss of Phoenix, Arz., and Mrs. Raymond Holcomb of Oklahoma., two sons,J.R. and J.W. Black of Pascagoula; 15 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Falls Funeral Home of Lucedale, Miss., is in charge.
