GR Holt, 65, of Greenville died Nov. 24, 2008 at his residence. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Father Gary Herbst officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.Mr. Holt was born Oct. 30, 1943, in Farmersville to Dewitt and Coy Virginia Culverhouse Holt. He was a self-employed brick and stone mason and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.His survivors include his daughter, Angela Wilson and husband Ira of Garland; a brother, Bobby Holt of Taos, N.M.; sisters Nora Sullivan of Lake Tawakoni and Floy Polkladnik of Dallas; three grandchildren, Lauryn Shields, and Tyler and Chase Wilson of Garland; special friend Linda Casstevens; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lavertie Ivey and Dean Nowlin.Pallbearers will be Jason Casstevens, Michael Deegear, Jaime Guerrero, Devin Holt, Rick Nowlin, and Alan Petrea. Ralph Parks and Arby Parks will serve as honorary pallbearers.
